Description
- Understand the principles, and concepts relevant to the revised rule 138-A;
- Be familiarized with the salient features of the revised rule particularly on the eligibility requirements, certification process, practice areas, unauthorized practice and its corresponding sanctions, and the effectivity of the Rule;
- Determine the different stakeholders of the Rule and their respective duties and responsibilities
- Understand the process for certification as discussed in the Rule and in the OCA Circular

About the Speaker
Judge Rigor Pascual
Judge Rigor Pascual is a member of the Oversight Committee to implement the student practice rule. He has participated in several national and international conferences in Legal Education, Experiential Education and Legal aid and was also a member of the TWG that drafted the Revised Student Practice Rule. As part of legal staff the Office of Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo at present, and before then, of the Office of Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin and Office of Justice Roberto Abad, he has been part of several court-initiated reforms. Judge Pascual has been practicing law since 2009; he graduated from UST Faculty of civil law in 2008 and has a degree in political science from the same university.
