SPECIALIZED COURSE
Description
By the end of this session, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the nature, scope, and benefits of adopting a clinical legal education framework in general and the implications instituting legal clinics in their law schools under Revised Rule 138-A, in particular
- Catch the integrated visions of academic rigor, public service orientation, interdisciplinary orientation, practical skils acquisition that is in RR138A
- Identify the service needs of communities they seek to assist and develop sustainable and empowered clinical programs towards that end
- Identify appropriate academic and training programs, and work towards integrating into their respective course offerings (subject to LEB approval) to underpin the development of the identified legal clinics
- Outline plans for the design of the CLEP and the law clinic based on the vision of the school and the needs of the communities
